Last minute Taba holidays provide some of the most pleasurable spur-of-the-moment holidays imaginable. Taba is a resort area, renowned for luxury. In Taba, days can be spent at the glorious beach, just relaxing, or scuba diving in the Red Sea. All activities are centered around fun or relaxation. The resort area in Egypt provides the perfect holiday for those than want to renew themselves ad do nothing but be pampered and waited on.

Of course, there is such a thing as too much relaxation. Last minute Taba holidays can include short day trips to the Island of the Pharaoh, which is just 5 short kilometers from Taba. The granite island lies just off the coast and it is the site of the magnificent Salah el-Din fortress, built by Crusaders in the twelfth century. The Council of Egyptian Antiquities has restored the fortress to it’s original glory.

The Coloured Canyon lies 70 kilometers southwest of Taba, and this wonder is worth the trip. It takes about two hours to travel through the canyon with it’s walls of wildly coloured sandstone. It’s not necessary to leave the resort area however to enjoy numerous activities. Almost all Taba hotels feature tennis courts, golfing and private beaches. Water sports such as windsurfing and water skiing are readily available and the weather almost always co-operates.
